DR. FREDERICK M. K. LAMDR. FREDERICK M. K. LAM 90 years young, passed away peacefully at his home in Manoa, on November 8, 2013. He was a lifetime resident of Honolulu and a physician for 64 years and founder with his father Dr. Fred K. Lam, of the Lam Clinic. Dr. Lam graduated from Punahou School in 1941 and received a BS degree from Hamilton College in 1945. He graduated from St. Louis Medical School in 1947 while in Military Service. He was a life time member of the American Academy of Family Practice. In 1974 he got his degree in Acupuncture and began the remainder of his life's passion for Bio-Energetic Medicine. He was a pioneer in this field and lectured at seminars in Hawaii, U.S. and Taiwan, he published many papers on the subject. By employing Bio-Energetic medicine he was able to treat the cause and not just the symptoms, while diagnosing diseases. Dr. Lam had many interests and hobbies. He was a renowned Ham Radio operator, trainer of Champion obedience Welsh Corgis and an accomplished in ballroom dancing and loved golf. Dr. Lam is survived by his sister Genevieve Fraiman and by three of his children. Frederick Guy Lam, Connie Clapp and Brenda Lam, five grandchildren and five great granddaughters. He is predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Marie and his daughter Devona Weirich. Services will be held at Bothwick Morturay, November 21, 2013, in the Maunakea Chapel. Visitation starts at 11:00 am with the service to follow at 12:00.
