81Thomas Kozen Makiya, 93, of Kailua, a retired Nordic Construction carpenter, died in Leahi Hospital. He was born on Maui. He is survived by daughter Karen Horiuchi, caregiver and son-in-law Lester Horiuchi, sister Dora Uyeunten, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Private services.
