81Mildred May Mahuna Kanakanui, 78, of Maili, a housekeeper and cook, died in Honolulu. She was born in Kukaiau Ranch. She is survived by sons Kevin Kanakanui, and Duke, Robert and Kenui Maikai; daughters Debora Salboro, Q. Kalani Kanakanui, Norma-Jean Anakalea, Mililani Polelia, Piilani Dorsey, Pauahi Maikai, Kuuipo Perry, Kaleiokalani Kaawa and Mapiana Caves; hanai son Eugene Bobby Vierra; hanai daughter Lorraine Hiko Kapu; brother Richard Mahuna; sisters Margaret Ynigues, Leonora Thomason, Elizabeth Lee Loy and Ethel Mahi; 53 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Services: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at Puuhonua o Waimanalo; follow the yellow balloons. Paniolo attire. Flowers welcome.
