SHIZUKO IKEDA Of Honolulu, HI passed away December 25, 2013 peacefully at home. Born April 22, 1922 in Honolulu, she is preceded by her husband of 48 years, Yutaka, and survived by her children Howard Y. Ikeda (Gayle), Sylvia Y. Iwanaka (Bert), and Russel M. Ikeda (Linda); her sisters Ruth Takishima and Gladys Young, and her brother Etsuji Kaetsu; six grandchildren Gavin, Kelly, Lance, Ryan, Kim, and Tyler, and six great-grandchildren, Faith, Zoe, Evan, Dylan, Drew, and Tanner. Known for her warm presence and friendly smiles, Shizuko lived a life of service for her children and family. She brought forth the very best in those fortunate enough to know her. A celebration of her life service will be held at Hosoi Garden Mortuary.
