80Susumu Tamura, 82, of Hilo, a retired Sugar Puna Co. heavy equipment operator, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Pahoa, Hawaii. He is survived by son Alan; daughters June Wung and Pauline Fukunaga; brother Masato Tamura; sisters Hatsue Carvalho, Chiyoko Okiuye and Shizue Sanekane; and seven grandchildren. Visitation: 4 p.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo. Services: 5 p.m. Casual attire.
