Seichi Tabata, 87, of Honolulu, a retired Occidental Underwriters of Hawaii agent, Seishinkan Dojo chief instructor and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Osaka, Japan. He is survived by son Calvin Y.; daughters Lynn K. Yokomizo, Elsie Y. Tabata and Betty Y. Dykstra; brothers Katsutoshi, Shogo and Takashi; sisters Nobuko Abe and Shirley Ponomareff; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin, 1727 Pali Highway. Services: 11 a.m.
