76Agapito "Pete" Sumarnap Jr., 67, of Hilo, a Hawaii County drafting engineer, died. He was born in Naalehu, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Stella; sons Shane and Charles Jay; daughters Chelsi and Mahana Akina, and Riann Sumarnap; stepsons Melvin and Mark Thomas; sister Norma Kneese; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Jan. 25 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hilo Stake Center, Ainaola Ward. Services: 10:45 a.m. Burial: 2:30 p.m. at Naalehu Cemetery.
