78Florendo Macadaeg Melchor Sr., 82, a retired research associate for the University of Hawaii Agricultural Experiment Station, died in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He is survived by wife Consorcia "Connie"; son Florendo Jr.; daughters Celia Questin, Josie Aurelio, Amy Tamayo, Myrna Patterson, Agnes Santa Cruz and Nelia Asuncion; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Feb. 1 at St.Catherine Church, Kapaa. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
