73Stephen J. "Steve" Miller, 69, of Hilo, a retired Hawaii County Police Department sergeant, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Meridian, Miss. He is survived by wife Elizabeth "Betty," sons Gilbert and Glen Manikis, daughters Patty De Silva and Jasanda Laranang, mother Mildred Uldine Look, brothers Bartley and Braxton, sisters Louann Schwab and Brenda Miller, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 11:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire.
