Robert Lee Milbrad
ROBERT LEE MILBRAD Robert Lee Milbrad, a retired Colonel in the United States Marine Corps, passed away on 08 January 2014 in his favorite chair at home. He was 84 years old and lived in Kaneohe since his retirement in 1982. He had a wide variety of assignments over a 30+ year career including a regimental command and as a director, 12th Marine Coprs District. He was primarily an artillery and infantry officer who served in both Korea and Vietnam. He is survived by wife, Candice Kim Milbrad, daughters Janice Nagle, Victoria Cooper, Melody Milbrad, and four grandchildren. He was born in Hoquiam, Washington in 1929, graduated from Olympia High School in 1947 and from the University of Washington in 1952. His decorations include the Bronze Star (with V), the Legion of Merit, the Vietnamese Gallantry Cross with Silver Star, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, and various others. He was a proud marine, devoted husband, loving father, and family man. He is and will always be missed. His inurnment will be held 3:00p.m., Friday January 24, 2014 at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
