Eugene Hu Date Lee, 83, of Glenwood, Hawaii, a Progressive Meat Market meat cutter, a retired Air Force technical sergeant who served in the Vietnam War, and a retired Safeway meat cutter, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Gerard T.K.Y.; stepdaughters Cathy DeCosta and Laura Gonzalez; brothers Clarence H.C. and Robert H.S.; sisters Ida H.T. Chang, Evelyn H.Y. Chun and Alice H.C. Yee; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Gathering Place of New Hope Christian Fellowship, Hilo. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Casual attire. No monetary offerings.
