Gus Yong, 96, of Volcano, Hawaii, a retired radar and electronics technician for the Federal Aviation Administration and a Navy veteran, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Laura H.Y.L., son Kingston, daughters Lana Jones and Mahealani "Mahi" Yong, sisters Ellen Lee and Bertha Lum, nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Feb. 4 at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. No flowers.
