73Douglas Fairbanks "Boysie" Mercado Jr., 53, of Hilo, a drywall contractor, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Zachary E.K., daughters Tiana P. Daligdig and Chelsie K. Mercado, mother Felicidad "Tillie," brother James, sisters Belinda Castro and Vannessa Apele, and six grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire.
