Thomas H. Barlan, 96, of Honolulu, a retired Moana Surfrider room service waiter, died in Kuakini Medical Center. He was born in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He is survived by wife Loretta P. "Pacing"; son Rudolfo "Rudy"; daughter Virgina Puma; stepsons Boni, Jacob, Jimmy and Tyrone B. Celoza; stepdaughters Nora Yarnell, Pat Higa and Isabel Asuncion; hanai son Ernest Ahue; sister Julita "Julie" 13 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 22 step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Friday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Additional visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at Valley of the Temples. Casual attire.
