77George K. Hiwatashi, 72, of Wailuku, a retired University of Hawaii Maui Campus employee for the building and grounds department, died in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Puunene, Maui. He is survived by wife Carol M., sons Chad and Todd, daughter Charlene, brothers Mako and Robert, sisters Masano Suzuki and Yukino Hiwatashi, and two grandchildren. Private services.
