Hidetaka "Paisan" Sato, 89, of Honaunau, Hawaii, a retired carpenter, coffee farmer and an Army veteran who served in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team during World War II, died in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Honaunau. He is survived by son Alvin, daughter Claudia, brother Kenji, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Private services.
