He is survived by ex-wife Lillian R. Kapololu (deceased) they had 3 children together. Renan Walsh Kaumeheiwa (Chick) Mahikoa Jr. (deceased) (Barbara Jean), William Kahula (Butch) Mahikoa (Marie Elizabeth) & Daphne Mae Kealaaumoe (Cheech) Mack (deceased)., 2nd wife Kayoko (Kay) Osada (deceased), 4 grandchildren, Kahula, Kawika, Ty and Brandy. 6 great grandchildren, Quin, Orin, Kali'I, Kahiwa, Kea and Kahi.
