Dr. Frank Dean Schowengerdt
FRANK SCHOWENGERDT brought space research, education to Hawaii Dr. Frank Schowengerdt, first director of PISCES, the Hawaii space research center, died of cancer Feb. 12 in Alexandria, VA. He was 77. He was Director of Space Product Development for NASA and in 2007 became director of the Pacific International Space Center for Exploration Systems, PISCES, at UH-Hilo, testing space technology from around the world.
