78Philip Edward Howell, 92, of Honolulu, a retired Honolulu Police Department lieutenant, died in Encino, Calif. He was born in Shanghai. He is survived by wife Lei Mamo; daughters Leigh Howell-Reed, Dixie Howell and J. Puanani Howell; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Services: 11:30 a.m. Aloha or casual attire. No flowers. Incorrect information in an obituary published Tuesday.
