Lt. Col. Saburo Shimomura, 88, of Honolulu, an Army retiree who served in the Korean and Vietnamwars, died in Pali Momi Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Grace K., son Calvin M., daughters Karen N. Atkins and Irene H. Tamayo, sister Mary "Minnie" Marushige, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Private services.
