KEYLAN KATSUJI KALEO SATO Age 24 of Wahiawa, HI, passed away on February 9, 2014 in Hilo. Born April 14, 1989 in Honolulu, HI. Keylan graduated from Kameha- meha Schools - Kapalama in 2007, and in December 2013 he graduated from the University of Hawaii at Hilo with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. While at UHH, Keylan worked as a lifeguard and fitness instructor at the Student Life Center. He dedicated his spare time to bridging connections throughout the student body. He was a reporter for the school newspaper, Ke Kalahea, and served as a peer mentor for Peer Assistant Linkages and Support. Most recently, he was working towards becoming an EMT. Keylan is predeceased by his father, Kurt. Survived by mother, Dana Sato; brother, Isaiah Sato of Wahiawa; grandparents Katsuji Sato of Wahiawa; Catherine Tanoue of Wailuku, Maui; his trusty pal, Rusty; Hanai Family, Carol Scott, Megan & Hannah Bartlett, & Grayson Tanoue; many aunties, uncles, cousins, & friends. Visitation 9:30 a.m. Sunday (March 2) at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel; Memorial Service 10:30 a.m.
