Earl Valentine Phillips, 90, of Honolulu, a Navy veteran and merchant seaman, died in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Earl Jr.; daughters Margaret Wise, Barbara Awa and Lana Guerrero; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. March 8 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 5919 Kalanianaole Highway. Services: 10 a.m. Inurnment: 9 a.m. March 15 at Diamond Head Memorial Park. Aloha attire. No flowers.
