Charles Everett Gilpin, 89, of Waipahu, a Navy chief petty officer and a U.S. Postal Service retiree, died at home. He was born in Jefferson City, Mo. He is survived by son Brian; daughter Barbara Kaneshiro; brother Glenn; sisters Dee, Dorothy and Bonnie; and three grandchildren. Private services.
