John Francis Mitchell, 91, of Ewa Beach, a retired Marine Corps colonel who served in World War II, died in the Community Living Center at Tripler Army Medical Center. He was born in Portland, Ore. He is survived by wife Veronica; son Robert M.; daughters Dallas Rohr, Olivia and Deanna Rezentes, Vee Medeiros, Kimberlyn Ah Hee and Chaminade Ornellas; sister Diane Taylor; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Committal services:10 a.m. Thursday at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Additional information for an obituary published Monday.
