Stephanie Turcotte FarmerSTEPHANIE TURCOTTE FARMER December 28, 1963 - March 17, 2014 Stephanie Turcotte Farmer was born on 28 December, 1963 and passed away on Monday, 17 March 2014 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family and friends at her brand new home in Schertz, Texas. Stephanie was born in Princeton, Illinois and raised in Seabrook, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she met her future husband, Patrick Farmer. They were married in September 1989 and she threw her energy fully into the challenge of being a military wife. She was a meticulous housekeeper, organized beyond description and especially accomplished at baking, counted cross stitch, crochet, needlepoint and puzzles (crossword and jigsaw alike). Through years of moving around the country she kept her family's home life moving in well-oiled precision despite whatever external pressures and chaos whirled about. Stephanie was prepared for any catastrophe that had the temerity to present itself, she was never without a spare anything and always had time to talk to family and friends alike regardless of the hour of day. Steph was any friend's most ardent advocate and any opponent's most bitter and stubborn adversary. She fought cancer to an impressive standstill for three years before ultimately falling to the dreaded disease. Stephanie is survived by her husband of 24 years Patrick, her mother Rita Gibson, stepfather Roger Gibson, brothers Brad and Brett Turcotte, mother-in-law Darlina Farmer, father-in-law Butch Farmer, sister-in-law Toni Turcotte and her beloved dog Mochi. She is preceded in death by her father Chuck Turcotte. Visitation and memorial service was held at the Schertz Funeral Home on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 6:30PM to 9:00PM.
