81Kiyono Katherine "Kay" Shimada, 82, of Kahului, a retired state Department of Education school secretary, died in Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Puunene, Maui. She is survived by son Ryan, daughter Lori Sanada, brothers Tadaoki and Henry Ariyoshi, and a grandchild.
