Robert Y. Hirota, 85, of Pearl City, a retired mechanical engineer from Navy Public Works Center, Pearl Harbor, and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Kapaa, Kauai. He is survived by wife Yoshiko, daughters Arlene Ono and Claire Yim, sister Roseline Yano and four grandchildren. Private services.
