George Nobuo Oshita, 93, of Kapaa, Kauai, a pineapple, fruit and vegetable farmer, and journeyman carpenter, died at home. He was also an Army veteran who served in World War II with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, and recipient of three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for Meritorious Achievement. He was born in Anahola, Kauai. He is survived by sons Russell, Clayton and Marvin; brothers Clarence and Albert; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Kapaa United Church of Christ. Services: 10 a.m. Light lunch to follow. Burial to be held at a later date at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
