81Jan "Van" Van Den Handel, 67, of Honolulu, a retired United Airlines customer service agent and Hawaii Kai Costco deli section employee, died in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Rosemont, Ill. He is survived by wife Frances "Fran"; sons Jan II, Kristian "Kaoni" and Hoku Ikaika; daughter Victoria "Vicky" Johnson; parents Cornelius and Jeanette; brothers Jim and Cornelius "Cork"; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
