Michelle Kwan Hung Mock Lindberg
MICHELLE KWAN HUNG MOCK LINDBERG Michelle Kwan Hung Mock Lindberg passed away in Oakland, California on March 12, 2014 of gastric cancer at the age of 68. Michelle was born on May 10, 1945 in Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, the second of three children of Albert and Dorothy Mock. Michelle was raised and educated in Honolulu, and in the summer of 1967 moved to San Francisco after graduating from the University of Hawaii with a BBA in Accounting. She worked as an accountant/ bookkeeper for the Hawaii Pineapple Growers Association and later for the Wells Fargo Bank. She married Jon Lindberg in 1972 and they moved to Oakland and the Montclair district. They had two children Eric and Maile who became her life as she raised them. When Maile had her three children, Kolu, Melia, and Charles, they became the focus of her life. She is survived by her brother Marshall (Phyllis), sister Melissa (Hal), husband Jon, son Eric, daughter Maile (Mark), and grandchildren Mark III, Melia, and Charles. A memorial reception was held on March 23, 2014 at the Greek Orthodox Church. The family requests any donations be given to the American Cancer Society.
