REED C.K. OLASO 54, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2014 in Honolulu. Reed, born and raised in Honolulu, graduated from Punahou School and Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. He was an all star athlete who played football, basketball and baseball. In 1988 Reed married his best friend, Suzanne Marie Crane, and they lived in Kailua the past 18 years. He worked at Le Jardin Academy as a Coach and Athletic Director. His joy was in working with the students and trying to make a positive difference in their lives. He strived to instill his philosophy of achieving, improving and reaching a higher level everyday and to understand the importance of W.I.N. : What's Important Now. Reed lived a wonderful life full of love and laughter surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife Suzanne and their two daughters, Nikki (Ikaika Sugimoto) and Kea-Marie along with granddaughter Ona. Also survived by his other children Eric Kiha (Shannon), Alexa and 8 grandchildren, along with his Mother Moana Olaso, sisters Luana Gibson, Tani Olaso Rodrigues (Gary) and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A memorial will be held at Punahou schools Thurston Chapel on May 24th. Visitation at 3pm and service to follow at 4pm. Casual attire, no flowers please.
