73Melvin I. Tanigawa, 78, of Kailua, retired owner and painting contractor of M&M Painting, died. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Margaret; son Darrel; daughters Terri Kuwahara, Gae Mitsuda, Toni Lampe and Jody Pearce; sisters Arlene Yamamoto and Susan Tanigawa; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
