John Joseph "Jack" Manning, 84, of Haleiwa, a Navy veteran, died in Haleiwa. He was born in Providence, R.I. He is survived by sons John J. Jr. and Paul F.; daughters Patricia M. Brandes, Martha M. Manning and Kathleen M. Shute; brother Joseph; former wife Judith L.; and eight grandchildren. Mass: 10 a.m. Saturday at the Newman Center, University of Hawaii-Manoa, 1941 East-West Road. Casual attire. No flowers.
