John Isamu "Bolo" Shiroma, 88, of Honolulu, a retired Honolulu Fire Department fire captain and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Waipahu. He is survived by wife Betty S.; daughters Marlene M. Shiroma, Patricia A. Lazarus and Cecelia J. Yamamura; sister Yoshino Teruya; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Private services.
