PUNAMAI "MIKE" ATOFAU
5-10 PUNAMAI ATOFAUPUNAMAI MIKE ATOFAU 76, passed away on May 1st, 2014 in Portland, Oregon. He was born on December 23, 1937, in Leone, American Samoa, 1 of 8 children to Kelemete Atofau and Talimeli (Ungaitafa) Tuitele. Punamai came to the United States in 1960, he married the love of his life, Nancy Coen, in November of 1961. Our husband, dad, and grandfather will be remembered for his love of God and family first, old cars, anything "antique," watching professional wrestling, and his favorite animals, eagles and tigers, like those at the Point Defiance Zoo. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy; children, Nancy (Johnnie) Wilson, Elizabeth Atofau, Anthony Atofau, Cynthia (Tino) Clark, Maggie (Lene) Amosa, Naw Aung; ten grand- children, Courtnie Wilson, Jourdyn (Jeremy) Penley, Sean Hart, TaQuia (Duana) Clark, Khrystina (Will) Pedro, Khrystian Clark, Kayla Clark, Kendra Clark, Esthlene Amosa, Matthew Aung; and two brothers, Fiavivini and Kelemete Atofau. He was preceded in death by his five siblings. Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Monday, May 12, 2014, at Mountain View Funeral Home Celebration of Life Center Aspen Chapel. Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm, Sunday, May 11, 2014, at the Funeral Home.
