Elmer F. "Guba" Gubaton, 54, of Kaumakani, Kauai, an employee of Gay & Robinson and Paradise Bloom and Landscaping, and an Army veteran, died in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in San Fernando, La Union, Philippines. He is survived by wife Lisa, daughter Latisha, stepsons Kylen and Tyler Chinen, mother Florita, brothers Danilo and Cesar, and sisters Virgie Pascua, Alicia Rivera and Marie Paiste. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at Garden Island Mortuary. Services: 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery. Flowers welcome.
