72Elvira Paez "Vera" Kamekona, 76, of Pahoa, Hawaii, a retired bilingual teacher, died at home. She was born in El Paso, Texas. She is survived by sons Henry III and Armando "Kona," daughter Dora "Lynny Girl" Wheatley, sisters Angie Harbison and Emilia "Memy" McDermont, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
