SUMIYO KANESHIGE Age 99, of Waialua, HI, passed away May 5, 2014 in Wahiawa. Born September 1, 1914 in Lihue, Kauai, HI. Retired cafeteria cook and member of Waialua Hongwanji. She is survived by sons, Gordon Kazu (Cecilia) Kaneshige, Calvin Tsugio (Gail) Kaneshige; daughters, Janet Kimie Okemura, Joyce Sanae (Thomas) Akimoto; sisters, Yukie McCormick, Jean Matsue (Walter) Shimasaki of California; grandchildren, Darryl Okemura, Camy Tang, Chad Akimoto, Brent Kaneshige, Bryan Kaneshige, Jacob Villa; great-grandchildren, Taryn Okemura, Jax Villa, Megan Kessler, Mia Kessler. Private services were held. No monetary offerings.
