Roy Tadashi Murata, 79, of Kapaa, Kauai, an Army veteran and a retired carpenter, died in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born in Kapaa. He is survived by sons Michael and Casey; daughter Alison Manibusan; sisters Doris Yamaguchi, Betty Tanaka, Amy Murata and June Kimura; and four grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Friday at Kapaa United Church of Christ. Services: 5:30 p.m. Aloha attire. No flowers.
