Noboru "Curly" Mento, 87, of Paukaa, Hawaii, a Hilo Medical Center retiree and an Army veteran, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Honomu, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Natsuko "Judy"; son Keith; brothers Jimmy, Roy and Robert; sisters Helen Nham and Ayako Higa; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation: 3 p.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 4 p.m. Casual attire.
