James Richard Browne, 82, of Waikoloa, Hawaii, a firefighter for the city of Santa Barbara, Calif., and a Marine Corps veteran, died at home. He was born in South Gate, Calif. He is survived by wife Alice; son James; daughters Sharon Kenyon, Betsy Del Sarto and Elizabeth and Alanette Browne; numerous grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services at noon Friday at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to North Hawaii Hospice, Waimea, Hawaii.
