BETTY Y. TONAKI Age 80, of Mililani, HI, passed away April 30, 2014 in Honolulu. Born April 16, 1934 in Paia, Maui, HI. A retired Kipapa Elementary School teacher. In her active retirement she enjoyed crochet, socializing with friends, excercise classes, baking, crafts, travel and spending time with her family. She is survived by daughters, Laureen Tonaki-Coumas, Corliss Tonaki-Yoshiura, Gayle Tonaki (George Willoughby); brothers, Osamu (Marilyn) Kawakami, Mitsugu (Joyce) Kawakami, Harold (Sally) Kawakami; sister, Joyce Okahara; grandchildren, Melina Coumas, Reyn Yoshiura, Taylor Yoshiura, Maya Yoshiura. Private services and burial were held.
