KLIMENKO, MARIANNA L. Klimenko, Marianna L. (nee. Lanz) Age 82, of Honolulu, passed away June 2, 2014. Preceded in death by sister Elizabeth; and parents Walter and Hannah Lanz. Survived by husband Michael; children Andreas (Raina), Markus (Mary Karen), Anna, and Martha (Jim); grandchildren, Aidan, Ted, Max, Maddie, Maia, Alex, Michael, Simon, Christopher, and Angelina. Born in Basel, Switzerland, Marianna and Michael moved to Honolulu in 1968 and raised their children in Hawaii Kai where she became a familiar figure with her daily walk of the loop. She was the R.N./Director at Lunalilo Home for 15 years, retiring in 1994. Her home for the last 2 years has been Hale Ku'Ike Memory Care Facility. The family will be forever grateful for the love and extraordinary care she received from the entire staff. The family suggests that memorial contributions are made to Cure Alzheimer's Fund. Gathering and service on Thursday June 12th at 9:30 a.m. at Ss. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Private internment to follow.
