Teizo Sumida, 94, of Hilo, a retired Naniloa Surf Hotel maintenance worker and an Army veteran who served in World War II with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by sons Brian and Dean, daughter Janne Fujimoto, brother Shizuo, sisters Itsuko "Judy" Nakagawa and Ritsuko Olson, and five grandchildren. Private services. No monetary offerings.
