Marie Piilani Cadena, 91, of Hilo, a retired occupational therapist for the state of Texas and former librarian at Fort Bliss Special Services in Texas, died at home. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by sons George, Stephen and Michael Kaualoku; daughters Marvid-Ann Schneider, Dayna Czarnecki, Mary-Beth Rank, Amy Canejo and Loralee MacDonald; brothers Paul, Edwin and Samuel Chung-Hoon; sisters Puanani Chung-Hoon, Betty Townsend, Ernestine Kenny and Naomi Campbell; 24 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Scattering of ashes: 10 a.m. Sunday at Punaluu Black Sand Beach, Kau, Hawaii.
