EDNA HISAYO KUNIYUKI who relocated from Honolulu to Bremerton WA in 2009, died on Saturday 25 January 2014 at Harrison Medical Center. She was born on 18 June 1923 in Honolulu HI to Yojiro and Fude (nee Ishibashi) Yamashina. In 1988, after 42 years, she retired from Veteran's Electric Co. as the Office Manager. She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles "Charlie" Uechi Kuniyuki, who died in 1945; by her husband of 56 years, Robert "Bob" Iwao Kuniyuki who died in 2008; and by siblings Yoshio Yamashina, Yukio Yamashina, Rikio "Ricky" Yamashina, and Doris Itsuyo Souza (Augustine "Sonny"). She is survived by daughters Naomi Pursel (Joe), Roberta "Bobbie" Kuniyuki (Mark Campbell), Valerie Howe (John), Jacqueline Medeiros (Stacy); grandchildren Schuyler "Sky" Pryne, Sterling Pryne (Holly), and Christina "Tina" Pryne; great-granddaughter Lillian Pryne; sister-in-law Yoshie Izuo; and many nephews and nieces, including special niece Louise Yonemori.
