Lloyd Calvin Simmons, 89, of Pahoa, Hawaii, a boiler operator and a Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War, died in Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in Fort Arthur, Texas. He is survived by wife Liwayway, son Ronald, daughter Jenny Lee Metrick, brother Richard Tompkins and sister Betty Lou Smith.
