RICHARD JOHN BARBER Richard J. Barber, 78, of Honolulu, passed away on May 20, 2014. Richard graduated from Roosevelt HS in 1954, then joined the USAF and was stationed in Germany. In 1959, he returned to attend UH, was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and received his Masters in Political Science. He founded and worked at Pacific Telecommunications Council as the Director. He is survived by his wife Ora Mae, children Robert, Kanara, Sara, Lisa, brother Pat, sister Dottie, and four grandchildren. A memorial will be held June 26, 10am at Borthwick.
