Ernest Yen Tai Ching, 91, of Honolulu, a retired carpenter for the federal government and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Kailua. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Gaylord H. and Winslow M., daughters Momilani Dufault and Kalowena Komeiji, brothers Calvin Y.L. and Cletus M.T., sisters Rosie Ching and Loretta Keola, six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 10 a.m. Friday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Services: 11 a.m. Burial: 1:30 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park. Aloha attire. No flowers.
