MITSUMORI ASHITOMI YAGO: OKUTAKE
MITSUMORI ASHITOMI YAGO: OKUTAKE Age 96, of Honolulu, passed away on June 8, 2014. Born in Honolulu, he retired as an auto mechanic for the City and County of Honolulu, Honolulu Police Department and Dole Corporation, and he was an auto mechanic and owner of Ashitomi Service Station. He was a member of the Tamagusuku Sonjin Kai and served as president from 1963 to 1964. He was also a member of Samisen Clubs: Nomura Ryu Kyokai, Nomura Ryu Koten Ongaku Hozonkai Hawaii Shibu and Nakaganeku Seifukai, where he earned his teachers and masters degree in samisen, and Mitsumori Ashitomi Samisen Club. Mr. Ashitomi is survived by his wife, Mildred; son, Paul (Joyce) Ashitomi; daughters, Mildred (Max) Mathias, Harriet Cintron and Vickie (Randal) Tanaka; six grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. Visitation from 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; service at 4:00 p.m. Aloha attire.
